Hi! I’m Victoria!
I used to eat out a lot. I’d go through a drive through and get the meal with a grilled chicken sandwich, but a large soda almost always accompanied any meal.
I went through phases where I would be really good about not eating out and I’d bring my lunch or meal prep chicken and rice.
But then I’d hit a rut where I just had no energy and that “only one” cheat meal turned into …just one more or …this is the last one.
You know the drill.
And that’s when Personal Trainer Food came along.
I didn’t think I could really be a success story
I was nervous. What if…
…I fail? …it doesn’t work? …my habits are so bad that I’m too far gone to change?
I was skeptical that eating three full meals with the portions I was given would fill me up and actually help me lose weight.
It was just food after all– no shakes or pills. So many weight loss success stories I’ve heard involved much more– like intense workouts, starvation, and strict rules.
Then I started to notice some things
Changes started happening pretty fast– within the first week I noticed I had more energy.
A little while later, I noticed that my leggings didn’t feel as tight. And also– they weren’t leaving those unflattering marks around my waist.
I couldn’t believe it. I actually squealed with excitement and ran out into my living room to show my boyfriend that there was actually give in my leggings!
Other people noticed those things too!
The more time went on, the more people started approaching me telling me how great I looked. They all asked what I was doing.
They didn’t believe me when I said that it was mainly a change of diet. Some would even come up when I was eating to ask what it was I was eating, and how it tasted.
It felt so great to have people coming up to me, ME! They were asking what I was doing to look so good; they wanted to know my success story.
My go-to foods…
I love the meatballs and green beans; I could honestly eat that every day.
The butter sauces that came with my meal plan have been amazing. The variety and flavor they add really help me keep looking forward to my meals. I like to put the bacon cheddar sauce on my green beans.
When I started to crave sweets, I would eat Apple Pie filling my coach recommended and it would totally satisfy my sweet tooth cravings.
Even my selfie game changed
I finally started to gain my confidence back enough take full body photos of myself that didn’t require me twisting my body into a flattering angle.
When I posted the photos that talked about my success story, I got such amazing responses. People would tell me how proud they were of me, and how great I was doing.
Even more were asking what I was doing and how they could do it too.
Yes, I like working out but…
I really wanted to prove to myself that diet is the main key in weight loss so I didn’t do any strenuous workouts.
In general, I did cardio for about 30-60 minutes a day combined with dancing a couple nights a week.
Oh yeah, once I started losing some weight and got my confidence back I started going out again! Dancing is something I love.
This is what I say to my friends
I have friends who tell me they workout 5 days a week, but haven’t seen any results. My immediate question is “Well, what’s your diet like?”
Their answers usually involves carbs, alcohol, loads of sugar. Thanks to PTF, I now know that all those things hinder weight loss, no matter how much you workout.
I can’t stress enough to you enough that if you want to be your own success story, you’re going to have to make a diet change. It’s not about killing yourself in the gym.
My Non-Scale Victories: Jeans and a prom dress
It’s great to see the numbers on the scale going down.
Even better was the day that I was able to put on a pair of jeans that I hadn’t been able to wear in 8 years.
After trying on my old jeans, I decided to see how my dress from Junior Prom fit. It was just hanging there, so why not?
It was an incredible feeling to put on that old dress I last wore at 17 and look GREAT in it at age 26.
My advice to you: don’t worry about the number on the scale, the weight loss will come with sticking with the program. Focus on how you feel, and how your clothes feel on you.
(Non-scale victories are way more fun than the scale.)
What am I going to do with this amazing new body?
Now that I’ve lost weight, I’m focusing on toning this new body that I have. I didn’t workout with weights before because I didn’t know where to start.
Today, I feel confident enough to walk into that section of the gym and give it a try.
Here’s my advice so you can be a success story too!
I’d have to say the best advice I can give is: don’t give up.
There were days that I felt like I was working hard and not seeing results. Luckily, I had someone there to tell me not to give up and to push me when I needed it most.
I’m so thankful he did because he made sure I focused less on a number on the scale and more on how my clothes were fitting– or not fitting because they were too big.
PTF made my life incredibly easy!
I just pick my meals out in the morning and go to work and then when it’s time to eat I heat them up. No prepping, no clean up, no fuss.
To me, PTF is absolutely worth the investment; without them I wouldn’t be here to tell you my success story.
Even when I was meal prepping I couldn’t have had this kind of variety for the price that PTF is. I was paying pretty much the same thing in a month for just eating chicken and rice with a few veggies– and seeing no results.
