Walking Every Day: What’s Your Excuse?

It’s too hot! It’s too cold! I have no place to walk. I need a new pair of shoes! So. Many. Excuses.

Enough.

A simple 20 minute walk to help you lose weight can be done anywhere, anytime.

One of the top reasons people don’t get the results they want on their program is because they are not doing their 20-minute walk. Are you?

No, honestly, are you getting them in EVERY DAY?

100-year-old Sarah Stenberg is doing her walking routine, and if you aren’t doing yours, her regimen will put you to shame.

Sarah, a Bethany Saint Joseph senior housing resident in Holmen, Wisconsin says she stays active with a three to four hour walk around the complex. And her elegant statement “This is what I do every day” speaks volumes.

The weather, a place to walk, and even her age are no match for Ms. Stenberg. She doesn’t need a special place to walk, she simply navigates the indoor corridors of her building around breakfast, lunch, and dinner. When the weather warms up she takes her walks outdoors.

Furthermore, Stenberg takes no breaks. Yes, you read correctly: at 100 years old, she walks three to four hours without stopping.
