Here are 7 ways to recover from any setback:
1. Get back on the wagon. Now.
Eat your next Personal Trainer Food meal, sip on some water and let the guilt go.
2. Since you know where the temptation is, remove it from your environment.
If the food wasn’t yours because you have followed our recommendations and cleaned out your fridge and pantry, don’t be afraid to ask your household members or workmates to hide their goodies out of your sight.
3. A setback can help you identify the obstacles that stand between you and your goal.
You now have the tools to identify mistakes BEFORE they happen. You can plan what you are going to do at the next office party, how you will avoid the temptation of a bread basket at restaurants and so on. Your best tool is to eat your Personal Trainer meals or snacks in advance of situations where you might be tempted, and then show up with your favorite non-caloric beverage or sparkling water.
4. You have tried and failed—and you are going to try again, this time wiser.
You have learned a new rule about yourself will increase your chances of success on your program and in your life. Write that rule down so you don’t forget it!
5. When setbacks happen, you have three choices.
You can let them define you, let them destroy you or let them strengthen you. Choose strength and move on.
6. Understand: you are better today, not broken.
You can believe in yourself and your goals a little more because you are not letting your setback destroy your program.
