Bunless Portobello Mushroom Burger

bunless_portobello_burgerPersonal Trainer Food Ingredients:
1 Personal Trainer Food Angus Burger

Additional Ingredients:
Burger toppings of your choice (lettuce, tomato, cheese, etc.)
2 Large portobello mushroom caps
Salt & Pepper, to taste
1 Zip Lock steamer bag

Instructions:

  1. Remove stem from mushroom caps. Scrape out the black gills with a spoon. Place mushrooms in steamer bag, and microwave for 1-1.5 minutes. Allow to rest for 1 minute, then slide out onto a plate. Salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Heat your Angus Burger in microwave.
  3. Place your Angus Burger on one portobello mushroom cap, add toppings as desired. Top with the second portobello mushroom cap.

    I really appreciate the recipes! Things like Ranch dressing on the veggies really take the boredom out of the usual menu.
