WINNER Avelino: Combat-Ready 52lb Loss!
In the Army, Avelino weighed 170 pounds, could easily run 5 miles, and go on 20 mile hikes. Being in shape was easy because of his constant training for combat readiness.

Manny: Fights Cancer, Crime, and Fat
Officer Manny Torres was shocked when he was diagnosed with cancer. Over the course of six months of chemotherapy, he was able to beat cancer, but he gained unwanted fat.
Manny was able to lose weight and feel great with RECON– even as he was undergoing treatment!
From where I came from– being diagnosed with cancer, and now in remission, I can say that RECON has given me more energy.
I’m able to do things that I have normally had difficulty doing, like walking the stairs. Today, I no longer get winded. I get up in the morning feeling fresh, healthy, ready to go, with so much more energy.

Bruce: How He Accomplished His Mission
Bruce has always been an active person. Years ago he was an All-American Gymnast who also competed and trained with the U.S. Men’s Olympic Gymnastics team.
But a recent Achilles injury and knee problems sidelined him and made doing simple things like an easy hike difficult. Like most people who are frustrated by injuries, Bruce ate a lot of unhealthy foods and the weight started to creep up.
I didn’t realize all those things that I was having a struggle with before until now.
With RECON, I’ve noticed how much better my body is functioning now, and without the extra weight, I feel more confident.
Bruce used RECON’s slow and steady exercise strategy that takes just a few minutes a day. Not only was Bruce able to get back to his active lifestyle, he can now do a better job keeping up with dozens of children in need at the charity he directs.
Joey: Fasting Put Him in the Fast Lane
Joey has struggled with being overweight his entire life. He tried to lose weight but it always seemed to come back. He just couldn’t maintain control.
RECON changed the way Joey thinks about fasting. He initially thought he would not be able to do it, but quickly learned that fasting gave him a ton of energy.
I’m pretty surprised at how much weight I lost.
Now that I have learned how to lose weight, I am confident I can hit my long-term goals with the RECON strategies I learned.
Intermittent fasting is how Joey was able to drop 20 pounds in the first week, winning the chance to drive an exotic race car during the RECON challenge.
Rene: Repaired His Body by Losing Lethal Fat
While Rene is the smallest of the RECON challengers, he was carrying a lot of fat right on his belly. This kind of fat is the WORST you can have, it is lethal to your health!
Rene was realizing just how bad this fat is. He started to notice how he had lost his energy and was frequently getting sick, missing out on good times with his wife and family.
I have a lot more energy now!
I am able to do a lot more work around the house, I don’t get tired. My wife is so surprised and happy!
When Rene started the RECON challenge, he had one wish: he wanted the energy to be able spend more time with his family. He got his wish, for today and for the long run.
By losing deadly belly fat, Rene will be around much longer for his family.
Ted: What He did to Tackle Obesity Odds
Ted used to be very active, playing full court 5 on 5 basketball, 36 holes of golf, and driving around with his buddies looking for pick up tackle football games.
But Ted’s eating habits have never been good. Ted tipped the scales by eating all the wrong foods– ice cream, fried apple pies, fries and fast food burgers, and LOTS of it. This made Ted the heaviest of all our RECON challengers. His start weight was 320 pounds!
With RECON, Ted never had to measure, count or portion anything out and lost a massive amount of weight: 55.6 pounds in 8 weeks!
I’ll be 49 in November. When I started this challenge, I wanted to be 240 by then. I’m well on my way!

D’Anson: Ditched a Fad & Got Strong!
When he started the RECON Challenge, D’Anson weighed the same as he did in high school. The the problem: he had way too much body fat.
D’Anson has been following a vegetarian diet for the last six years but was unable to get the lean body he really wanted. He felt like maybe he was hard-wired to fail at dieting.

I’m much more confident when I’m walking down the street or meeting people.
Now I’ll take my shirt off at the pool– I wouldn’t do that before!

Paul: It’s All About What He Dropped!

Jacob: Arrested Fat Gain; Now Ready for Action
Switching from patrol to a more sedentary desk job caused Officer Eubanks to gain weight. Like many of us who push buttons for a living, he developed a bad habit of grabbing fast food to eat.
However, Jacob’s job requires that at any given time, he can last 3 minutes in a ground fight or run a couple miles in order to serve and protect his community and fellow officers.
I need to be able to last three minutes in a ground fight or run a couple miles. I stand a better chance of not being injured if I am fit.

Grayson: Straight from His RECON Playbook
Being a stocky man worked well for Grayson when he used to play football. But over time, his weight has become a health issue.
