Personal Trainer Food is changing the rules in the world of diet and fitness.
For years, weight loss and good health have been very ‘event driven.’ Meaning…we decide we want to shrink, get fit, lose weight, etc., and then we take action using major events.
Have you ever said these things to yourself?
“This Monday I am starting my diet,” “After New Year’s, it will begin,” “I am not eating any more red meat,” ” I bought a membership to a gym.”
In saying these things, we believe that we will miraculously change at midnight. We think we will stop doing things one way and start doing them another way. This thinking may be noble but it does not work. Focusing on one day, one minute, one event to make the change…it simply does not work.
This psychological game occurs with education, relationships, breaking addiction, and making money. It’s based on a short-term gain method that our society has accepted as the norm. However, as we get older, we realize this is not reality.
In order to truly change, we must practice change. We must change our environment, our friends, our habits, our routines. We learn this does not happen “on Monday” or “When I decide to change.” Change happens now. Today.
Health is Never Owned…
Just as a child learns to walk or how you learn to play an instrument, we must also approach health and weight loss the same. I like to say
“Health is never owned– it is rented; and the rent is due every day.”
We must approach the process of change or the process of learning with a plan. The simpler the plan, the easier the learning process. Same goes with weight loss and fitness.
At Personal Trainer Food, we make the food/eating part easy. We show folks how to eat the right foods, requiring little time and little thinking. The PTF Way is one meal at a time. It’s also strategically-driven, knowing we will always be tempted to eat the wrong thing. (That is why one of the strategies we teach is to keep almonds or cheese in your car or at the office.)

This Is Not Another Diet, This Is Different
At Personal Trainer Food, we believe the other meal programs have tried to help people. They have provided meal plans made of poor tasting food, chalky powder drinks and chemical-laden bars. These might help people see quick results, but they really don’t provide a plan focused on long-term habits.
They tell people you CAN eat things like pizza, muffins, chocolate and still lose weight. These claims are because marketers have learned if they can promise easy and quick results, they can sell. This goes for all those gadgets, gear, meal plans, and health club memberships. But nothing they are selling will help you for the long term.
I applaud their efforts but I condemn their compromise. They have now become so desperate, they use paid celebrities, fake before and after pics, photo retouched food, and sneaky sales gimmicks because they know their short term program does not work.
